Ingredients:
- 1 lb can cherry pie filling
- 1/2 pkg white cake mix (1 Jiffy mix)
- 1/2 cup coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup oleo (melted)
Instructions:
- Pre heat oven to 350° F.
- Spread pie filling in bottom of 8″ or 9″ square baking dish.
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
- Pour batter over filling.
- Sprinkle coconut. Add nuts. Drizzle melted butter.
- Bake at 350° F for 40 minutes.
- Serve warm.

Grandkid Note
When I read “serve warm” I recall how hugs from Grandma could cure the soul. But, on occasion, you could get a glimpse of her on the receiving end of one-such-hug.
