Ingredients:
- 1 gallon cucumbers
- 6 onions
- 1 green pepper
- 1/2 cup salt
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp gr. cloves
- 2 tsp celery seed
- 1 1/2 tsp tumeric
- 1 tbsp mustard seed
- 2 cups vinegar (*grandkid note: or does this say 5 cups?)
Instructions:
- Slice cucumbers, onions and green pepper. Let set for 2 hours in salt and pack with 2 trays of ice.
- Drain and add sugar, cloves, celery seed, tumeric, mustard seed and vinegar. Boil slowly for 10 minutes.
- Makes 4 quarts – 8 pints.
