Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter (or oleo)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 quart sweetened fruit
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • OR – If you don’t have self-rising flour, can replace with:
    • 1 cup flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • dash of salt

Instructions:

  1. Pre heat oven to 350° F.
  2. Melt butter in pan.
  3. Mix flour and milk and pour over butter.
  4. Cover with fruit – do not stir.
  5. Bake at 350° F for 1 hour.

Family Note

Some recipes require meticulous measurements, while others read more like directions to toss everything together and see what pops out. At the end of the day, your guess may be as good as mine.
