Ingredients:
Dough
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pkg instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter (soft)
- 1 egg
Filling
- 1 /4 cup butter
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Glaze
- 1 cup xxx sugar (*grandkid note: this means powdered sugar)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2-3 tbsp milk or coffee
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 200° F.
- Mix dry ingredients well: flour, sugar, salt, yeast.
- Microwave water, milk and butter until it melts (30-45 seconds).
- Add to dry ingredients. Add egg. Knead for 3-4 minutes until dough isn’t sticky.
- Place dough in greased bowl for 5 minutes.
- Roll to 15″x9″.
- Spread filling onto dough.
- Roll tight and cut 9 (for 9″ pan) or 12 (for 9″x13″ pan).
- Turn off preheated oven. Cover pan lightly with foil and place in oven. Let rise for 20 minutes.
- Remove [something I can’t read] in oven and turn oven to 375° F. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Drizzle glaze over warm rolls.

Grandkid Note
Watching Grandma roll out dough meant all was right with the world. Knowing that the dough would be smothered in buttery cinnamon sugar goodness meant heaven was near.
